{"id":4333,"date":"2015-06-01T21:37:20","date_gmt":"2015-06-01T21:37:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/maischna.de\/?p=4333"},"modified":"2015-06-01T21:38:08","modified_gmt":"2015-06-01T21:38:08","slug":"cameroon-movie-makers-unite","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/lafritude.com\/?p=4333","title":{"rendered":"Cameroon Movie Makers Unite!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Through the 29th to the morning of the 31st of May, t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alenne.menget?fref=ts\">he Association of Cameroon Movie Makers (ASCAMM) <\/a>sat in its creation assembly in Buea\u00a0 with little or no political intension to form an association to manage all movie making activities in Cameroon. &#8220;We are limited to projects, professionalism and open to work with all associated collaborators in movie making like bloggers, make- up artists, designers and also communicators out of the electronic media. We have tried to build a representation throughout the national territory, associating both English and French film makers&#8221; says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/alenne.menget?fref=ts\">ATS production manager Alene Menget <\/a>on Facebook. Some clear goals were set for the next couple of years as he goes on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dubbing English movie to French and French movies to English to build a national market for all Cameroon movies.<\/li>\n<li>Building a professional market plan and plate-form where Cameroon movies could be sold.<\/li>\n<li>Include other associate professionals of movie making like communicators including bloggers, make-up artists, designers, investors and marketers to Cameroon movie making.<\/li>\n<li>For details on the point above, we have been able to present our project to the bloggers that we know and have associated with a communication consultancy agency <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fabafriq.com\/\">FAbAfriq<\/a> to help us build a communication platform. We have also be able to present this project to most of Cameroon media houses being both print and audio-visual. (We have spoken to the lead designers and make-up artists. We shall give you a list in a next publication).<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0The ASCAMM also through its members will together produce movie projects, market them and share benefits.<\/li>\n<li>We intend building an equipment pool for members on their individual projects and projects the association produces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other intentions, like bringing the French and English\u00a0 cultures together, work together and learn each other\u2019s film production methods are part of the new ASCAMM strategy.<br \/>\nIt was about time the Cameroonian movie industry makes this move. We wish ASCAMM all the best and hope this poineer group of movie makers will take the movie industry to better heights. We will follow up closely and report major developments of ASCAMM.<\/p>\n<p>Some highlights from inaugural event in pictures.<\/p>\n<p><a
