African-inspired fabric has been in the market for so many years but judging from<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>different magazines and fashion blogs,\u00a0never has it been so present\u00a0and used in so many different ways as is being done in contemporary fashion.\u00a0From\u00a0\u2018Ankara\u2019 prints in Nigeria,\u00a0wax, super wax, java,\u00a0\u2018Dutch wax\u2019 in Ghana, \u2018Kanga prints\u2019 in Tanzania and to other East African countries, Ikat, Batik, mud cloth and so on, this is a\u00a0colourful fabric with a lot of – for lack of a better word – “tribal” or “ethnic” patterns printed on it.<\/span><\/p>\n
