MTN’s Reduces Call Rates in Cameroon

The Director General of MTN ‪‎Cameroon, Mr. Karl Olutokun Toriola, has today written a letter to his 11 Million subscribers. In the letter he informs his subscribers that the price for a call is henceforth 30 FCFA per minute or 0.5 FCFA per second. At this rate, MTN Cameroon will have the lowest call rates in the Cameroon Mobile Market and one of the lowest in Africa.

New Tax law in Cameroon for the Fiscal Year 2015

In a bid to reduce the fiscal pressures being faced by entrepreneurs and companies alike, the government of ‪Cameroon is proposing a 5% tax reduction during the 2015 fiscal year. The Minister of Finance, Mr. Alamine Ousmane Mey, has proposed the reduction in the 2015 Finance Laws to be adopted by Parliament. Cameroon’s taxes remain one of the highest in Africa.
