When Women Take The Lead For Change In Their Communities

Flyer African IvoryUnder the Motto: EQUALITY FOR WOMEN IS PROGRESS FOR ALL, the African Ivory foundation is orgnisaing another women’s day special on the 7th of March 2015 in celebration of the International Day of the Woman. At a time when women are still victims of gender discrimination it lies in the hands of women to be proactive and  advocate for equal rights in life. However, quite a lot has been achieved in the fight for gender equality, even though the target is still  far from being realised. As the world celebrates the International Women’s Day this cominf  8th of March 2015, African Ivory seizes the opportunity to celebrate women who have broken the barriers of gender segregation to rise to positions of responsibility in ther societies.
The founder of African Ivory, Mrs Delphine Mukete, informs that the event will take place in Essen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. Although the actual date is on the 8th of March,  ‘we are celebrating this day on the 7th of March, being Saturday’. The day will begin with a Press Conference followed by a seminar. There will be other highlights within the frame of the celebration like traditional dances from different women groups and nationalities, Nigeria, Cameroun, India and Brazil. Guests will be invited to dine on an international menu (buffet). This event is organised by the initiative to support integration in Germany; African Ivory in collaboration with Kuzierem Förderverein and IWPG Essen. Please revisit our website for more information and reports about the event.
