Samuel Eto’o is a football legend from Cameroon, a philantropist, a role model, a sweet guy with a beautiful family. Yesterday at 11.20, he posted a video shouting out love to his wife Georgette using vocal cords by the music trio X Maleya from Cameroon. This video got many Cameroonians talking and questioning on social media. Is Eto’o trying to win back the heart of the mother of his children he broke soemtime ago after having a alledgely having an affair with It girl Nathalie Koah.

Here are some of the comments I randomly selected from Maischna Magazine’s page after I posted the above video.

“l love Eto’o. I hail Eto’o for his good deeds and I think there are so many positive things about Eto’o that can be brought into the limelight to overshadow the negatives…he should leave some of these social media pranks to experts. In short I am angry at him sometimes because he is a legend who sometimes does not behave as if he understands the power his name yields”

Besides this song he has been posting pictures and comments on his official Facebook page to demonstrates his love for his wife. All I know is, Eto”o is a great guy and if you ask me, he has done enough good to be talked of for the rest of his life, he is a great player and should rather focus on his career. I pray he resigns as a football hero not a victim of social media.
